What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive Eating is an approach to nutrition and movement developed by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch who realized after years of working with clients assigned by their doctors to lose weight that traditional diets and exercise regimes can be detrimental to the health of the body and to the heart and soul. Intuitive eating focuses on healthy habits rather than numbers on a scale, cutting out foods or calorie counting.
Intuitive eating focuses on learning to tell the difference between emotional hunger and bodily hunger, how to recognize how fullness feels in the body and how to have joyful movement in a way that is sustainable and enjoyable.
